St. Justin Martyr stands as a perennial witness to the power and wisdom of Jesus Christ (1 Cor 1:24) and His Church. A philosopher searching for the true way to live, he studied all the claims to truth around him and then embraced the Christian gospel. His synthesis of faith and reason laid the foundation for a European intellectual culture from which we still benefit today. In this lecture, Dr. Kenneth Howell talks about:
  1. St. Justin's life and work
  2. The socio-political context of his search for the truth
  3. The intellectual background of his search for the truth
  4. The relationship between faith and feason
  5. The relationship between the liturgy, the Eucharist, and the philosophical pursuit of truth
  6. Ways we can apply insights from St. Justin to our own lives
